Declaration, Progress Update 1

Hey everybody!
It's been a while since the last news update so I think this is a good time to share some things with you.
As most of you would probably know, the title of the new album would be "Declaration".
Jean is working on a concept regarding the lyrics and I can say that its becoming quite strong.
In addition, the first samples of the vocal lines are really great!
The pre-production is over, except a few orchestral arrangements Vortimer is working on, and we are, now, rehearsing on the new material.
We are amazingly excited for the progress up until now, but we try to keep it low.
More news are about to come. Maybe some new song titles, maybe some videos from the studio. We'll be in touch!

Dear friends,
I regret to announce that I have decided to part ways with RandomWalk.
Unfortunately, recent changes in my personal life do not allow me to be an active and fully dedicated band member, as I have been the last 8 years.
It has been a wonderful journey for me with 2 full-length albums, dozens of live shows, 3 video clip shootings, many strong feelings and definitely countless memories.
I would like to deeply thank my RandomWalk brothers for sharing all these moments with me and I wish them all the best for the future.

We are very excited to welcome Monsieur Nonsense in the RandomWalk family! He has already fitted in perfectly with the rest of the band and we are certain that the newly formed Vortimer – Monsieur Nonsense guitar duo is sure to turn some heads!

Warm greetings
Our "Declaration" has fully unveiled it's hideous face. The pre-production is about 70% complete and I think we are facing our most ambitious effort so far. Many of you guys wanted this to be a concept album so I'm trying to figure things out.

...The show has ended; we’re off stage, packing up the equipment. This bittersweet feeling has started taking place into us. Once again we gave the best of ourselves on stage and there is no better satisfaction than watching and listening to a pleased audience. But, we all knew this would be our last performance for a long period of time. “Maybe we need a break.” That was the line to, somehow, ease our cloudy mood.
Shitty, Greek military obligations had to take us away from the thing we love the most. Jean, Dorian and I had to leave and have Vortimer, Absinthe and the RandomWalk family waiting, patiently, for us to return...(April 2010)
One year and a half has passed and it is time to breathe again . On the 16th of January 2011, at the venue An Club in Athens, we, RandomWalk, will step on stage, to give life to our second child “Absolution”, for the first time. We will be more than happy to have you there with us.

We are extremely pleased to announce that Waldemar Sorychta (producer of Lacuna Coil, Sentenced, Therion, Samael, Tiamat, Moonspell and many more) is now mastering our "Absolution" along with Dennis Koehne (Sodom, Tristania) at the Flying Pig Studio in Schwerte, Germany. The result sounds absolutely amazing!!!

Warm greetings to all friends and supporters. I really miss you. As many of you might have guessed, RandomWalk have been completely inactive for the past six months. I'm afraid that I, myself, can be held totally responsible for this unfortunate situation.Obligations that I could not ignore nor postpone any further called for my immediate attention and full devotion and cost me dearly at a personal level as well. I still am in total desolation far away from home as I write these lines in an effort to explain things to you all. Now the hard part seems top be over for me.
Dorian, Vortimer, Harry and I all knew exactly what was coming and although my personal hardships are nearing completion, some of my band-mates will have to deal with the same situation themselves. It is just a matter of time before we are united again.
We managed to finish the recordings of the album that is meant to succeed my beloved "Redemption" some days before I departed for my "place of purgatory" as I now call it. The title "Absolution" seems quite fitting for our upcoming endeavor. "Hourglass", "The Maker's Way", "Promises", "The Well", "Night In Gale", "Stormcrows", "Cellar Door", "The Light", "Silence" and "Descent" are the 10 tracks that, this time, will portray the ideal form of "Absolution".
I am not able to witness the mixing and mastering process that has been going on for quite a while now but our producer seems more than ecstatic and that's more than enough for me. I am sure that the outcome will compensate all of you for our absence. I hope I will be able to upload some preview material here very soon, so keep in touch.
